Bush Announces Afghan Kids' Fund
WASHINGTON - The Postal Service has established a special ZIP code for youngsters to use in sending in contributions to assist the children of Afghanistan.

President Bush ended his White House news conference Thursday night by urging the nation's children each to contribute a dollar to a fund to provide food and medicine for the children of Afghanistan.

The White House and Postal Service said Friday these contributions should go to America's Fund for Afghan Children, c/o The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20509-1600.

Postmaster General John Potter said his agency will promote the program through its literacy efforts in 300,000 classrooms.
